Rafael Ferrales, EA, has more than 20 years of tax experience, including more than 15 years with a Big Four firm. He conducts fixed asset depreciation reviews, cost segregation studies, repair & maintenance reviews, green energy analyses and pre-construction tax services. Rafael is well versed in assembling, mentoring, and leading teams with diverse technical skills and he has extensive knowledge of large tax projects and a diverse mix of experience with financial and professional services, REIT’s, retail, technology, manufacturing, utilities, and consumer products companies.
Before his time with the Big Four firm, Rafael worked on construction and design projects for an international engineering firm as part of design and construction teams to conduct on-site inspections, project management, value engineering, cost accounting and change order negotiation. Over the years, he has performed countless interviews, site visits and consulting sessions with engineering, accounting and tax department personnel and has performed engineering cost analyses globally for various types of assets, including power utilities, wastewater treatment plants and railroad infrastructure.
Rafael served honorably as an intelligence officer in the US Navy. He earned his MBA from Rutgers University and his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology. He is an active enrolled agent with the Internal Revenue Service.
