Eric A. “Tony” Gronroos, MBT, CPA, has more than 25 years of public accounting experience providing federal and state income tax services. Over the years, he has served clients in various industries such as manufacturing, distribution, investment banking, private equity funds, entertainment, media, real estate, estates and trusts and corporate reorganizations. Tony is particularly knowledgeable in real estate, debt funds and private equity funds. He also assists clients with trust, gift and estate planning, as well as federal and state income tax planning for both high-net-worth individuals and companies.
Tony also offers consulting and planning assistance for merger and acquisition transactions. When representing sellers in these dealings, he advises on numerous aspects from tax and cash optimization to liquidating shareholder and partner tax strategies. He helps clients navigate foreign inbound and outbound tax planning and compliance.
Tony has served on the boards of many charitable organizations, including as Finance and Investment Chair for Union Station Homeless Services, Finance Chair of Pacific Clinics and Finance Chair of Villa de Vida. He continues to speak on topics of tax interest to various business groups.
A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in California, Tony is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA). He is also part of the San Gabriel Valley Estate Planning Council. He earned a Bachelor of Science in economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and Master of Business Taxation from the University of Southern California.
