Ashly Pleasant
Ashly Pleasant, CCIM, is an accomplished professional with more than 15 years in Asset Management, as well as experience in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) integration, and Strategic Operations. She possesses exceptional analytical skills, leadership abilities and a deep understanding of market dynamics to position her clients for long-term success in a competitive and rapidly evolving business environment. A thought leader in customizing ESG platforms for companies that prioritize maximizing social and environmental impact through a profit-focused lens, she has developed scalable initiatives and strategies designed to meet the expectations of her clients’ stakeholders while driving long-term value for the business model.
Ashly has coordinated materiality assessments to prioritize, plan, and budget ESG-focus areas accordingly. She has communicated ESG efforts and progress through various engagement channels, building relationships with investors, customers, employees, and community partners. Ashly is directly responsible for managing multidisciplinary teams comprised of experts ranging from GHG emissions engineers to social impact strategists, through the iterative life cycles of each project. She has implemented ESG data collection systems to monitor, measure and report related attributes and activities, such as GHG emissions, social impact initiatives, and climate risk and resilience to enhance transparency and accountability. Ashly has also conducted climate risk assessments, identifying hazard vulnerabilities and supportive adaptation methodologies to ensure a holistic approach. She has formalized ESG reporting processes, ensuring adherence alignment with industry standards, and global reporting frameworks including GRI, TCFD, UNSDG, and GHG Protocol. She also has experience in deploying a robust array of decarbonization strategies across the U.S. and Europe such as renewable energy, carbon credits, stakeholder education, smart meters, and green-lease language. Finally, she has led efforts to integrate ethical and sustainable best practices into underwriting guidelines, regarding widely adopted frameworks such as UNPRI.
Ashly is a member of Chief, a network to develop and support women executive leaders and the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries’ (NCREIF) ESG committee for KPIs. She is the 2023 Winner of the Connect CRE Women in Real Estate Award. A Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), Ashly earned her MBA in finance from the University of St. Thomas and her BS in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Houston.
