Debbie Kirkham-Young, CPA, has more than 30 years of experience focused on auditing government agencies. She provides auditing and consulting services — including federal and state single audits — to school districts, municipalities, counties, special districts, not-for-profits, financial institutions, and other private sector clients. As part of her role, she also oversees the preparation of Annual Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports that meet the requirements of the GFOA and/or ASBO Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting.
Debbie is a member of the AICPA, TXCPA, GFOA, TASBO and ASBO. She frequently presents continuing education classes for professional organizations, clients and other CPA firms. Debbie is also a frequent author of materials for continuing professional education courses. She earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Sam Houston State University.
