Donna J. Walker, CFA, FASA, ARM, has been engaged in business appraisals since 1984, with an emphasis on estate and gift tax valuations, employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) valuations and financial advisory services. She is also knowledgeable about the valuation of limited partnership interests and other pass-through entities, litigation support services, and has testified in various litigation matters, including in U.S. Tax Court.
Before founding Columbia Financial Advisors, Inc. in 1992, Donna was a principal at a valuation consulting and forensic analysis firm, where she focused on business appraisals and financial advisory services for ESOPs, estate and gift tax and litigation support.
An Accredited Senior Appraiser with the American Society of Appraisers (ASA), designated in Business Valuation and Appraisal Review and Management, Donna holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. She is a past member of the Appraisal Foundation Business Valuation Resource Panel and a past member of the ASA Business Valuation Discipline Committee. Donna earned her Bachelor of Arts degree, with Honors, from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Portland. Donna is a past president of the ASA and is a member of the ASA’s College of Fellows. She was a course developer and instructor for the ASA business valuation course on ESOP shares and is a frequent speaker, lecturer, instructor, and author on matters involving valuation.
