Doug Brustkern, CFE, has over eight years of experience assisting clients with the financial and economic aspects of litigation disputes and alternative dispute resolution methods that result from specific business events including breaches of contract and duty, business interruption, fraudulent transfer and infringement of intellectual property. Doug’s experience includes developing and analyzing loss calculations under a variety of damage methodologies including lost profits, reasonable royalty, disgorgement, unjust enrichment, lost earnings, and diminution of value. His work often involves performing forensic and investigative accounting, valuing businesses and business assets, evaluating and manipulating complex data sets, and examining damage theories. Doug’s experience has involved helping clients in a variety of fields including real estate, oil & gas, hospitality, construction, health care and technology. He has worked on high-profile engagements including multi-family developments, health care facilities, power plants, and national-scope reserve land holdings.
Doug is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). He received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance from the University of Texas at Austin, and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree, also from the University of Texas at Austin.
