For more than 18 years, Jackie Gonzalez, CPA, has been performing and leading complex financial statement and compliance audits for governmental, not-for-profit, and retail and wholesale distributors. Her clients have included the fifth-largest city and the fifth-largest school district in the State of Texas as well as large, complex not-for-profit organizations. Jackie is skilled in resolving complicated issues related to diverse funding sources, particularly federal and state grant funds that require single audits under Uniform Guidance. As a member of the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Special Review Committee, she is also experienced in helping clients ensure that their Annual Comprehensive Financial Reports meet GFOA award standards.
An active member of a wide array of professional associations and charitable associations, Jackie often presents on topics related to public-sector accounting and auditing practices and standards. She is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Fort Worth chapter of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TXCPA), the TXCPA Not-for-Profit Study Group, the GFOA and GFOA of Texas. She also sits on the finance committee and board of directors for Presbyterian Night Shelter and is a member of Junior League of Fort Worth. Jackie earned both a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Texas Wesleyan University.
