Jeff Spilker, CPA, ABV, CFF, J.D., has more than 30 years of diverse business experience as both a hands-on executive and as a consultant conducting and supervising a wide variety of engagements for banks, savings and loans, contractors, attorneys, private developers, corporations and government agencies. A managing director in Weaver’s forensics practice, Jeff was a founding shareholder of Schwartz Spilker & Co. and Hill Schwartz Spilker Keller, LLC, (HSSK, LLC). In addition to this consulting experience, he has also served as the CFO of an engineering/construction company and vice president/general manager of a construction and real estate development firm.
Jeff has provided a wide range of financial and economic consulting and forensic accounting services to attorneys in matters involving intellectual property and patent infringement claims, health care and professional practices, oil and gas issues, construction disputes, professional liability claims, partnership disputes, real estate and business valuation issues, environmental issues, personal injury and employment claims, lost profits analyses, fraud investigations, and lender liability claims. He has provided expert testimony in more than 150 of these matters.
A CPA, Jeff is also Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) and Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) by the American Institute of Certified Professional Accountants (AICPA). He is a member of the AICPA, the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Virginia Bar Association. Jeff is also a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in Texas. He earned both a Bachelor of Architecture, with high honors, and an MBA from the University of Texas in Austin, as well as a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the South Texas College of Law.
