Laura Lambert, CPA, has 16 years of experience in public accounting. Laura focuses on providing audit, review, compilation, attestation and business advisory consulting in the government, broker-dealer and investment management/hedge fund industries. She also has significant experience with Sarbanes-Oxley consulting, internal controls assessments and data mining for transaction analysis and fraud detection. Laura has extensive experience managing audits performed in accordance with Government Auditing Standards, including those subject to the Uniform Guidance and Texas Uniform Grant Management Standards. Additionally, she has experience consulting on government investment funds up to $30 billion in assets, such as the Permanent School Fund, including preparing statements for audit by the State Auditor’s Office (SAO); evaluating complex and non-routine alternative investments such as private equity, real estate, and derivative and foreign currency transactions; and performing internal control reviews over alternative assets.
Laura is an active member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Texas Alternative Investments Association and the Government Finance Officers Association of Texas. Laura graduated with a Master of Business Administration degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in business from Wright State University.
