Michael McConnell

Michael McConnell, CPA, has more than 38 years of professional experience encompassing both public accounting and industry, with the last 11 years as an Audit Managing Director at one of the five largest international accounting firms. Michael has served public and private companies in the oilfield services, manufacturing and distribution, construction, transportation, software, services, and biotechnology industries. He has also served as a quality reviewer for governmental and not-for-profit engagements, performed internal quality reviews, and performed external peer reviews of two Big Four accounting firms.

Michael is a former two-term member of the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy Technical Standards Review Committee, a former director of both the Texas Society of CPAs and its Houston Chapter, and an initial member of the AICPA Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center Executive Committee. He also served as an Ad Hoc Investigator for the AICPA Professional Ethics Committee. Michael earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Houston.
