Michael Pinna, CPA, has over 30 years of extensive experience in information technology (IT). With a strong focus on System and Organization Controls (SOC) reporting, Michael provides highly focused IT audit and assurance services. He is deeply knowledgeable in cybersecurity, conducting IT risk assessments, vulnerability scans, compliance management and addressing security and privacy risks. Additionally, Michael has an extensive proficiency in Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) IT controls, disaster recovery, business continuity training, and documenting/testing IT controls to support Weaver’s audit clients across diverse industries.

A Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Michael is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). With NYSSCPA, Michael is a former chairman and currently serves on the Technology Assurance Committee. Michael earned a Master of Business Administration in finance from Binghamton University and a Bachelor of Science in applied economics from Cornell University.
