Mike Hill, FASA, CPA, ABV, has over 30 years of experience valuing business and intangible assets across a wide range of industries. Mike has performed valuations for estate planning, tax compliance, financial reporting, corporate planning, ESOPs, divorce and corporate disputes, and fairness/solvency opinions. His experience includes equity valuations as well as appraisals of intangible assets in industries such as oil and gas, finance and banking, retail and wholesale distribution, restaurants, health care, waste management, construction and many other industries. In addition, Mike has testified as an expert witness for disputes involving valuation matters in federal and state courts.
Mike is a CPA, Accredited in Business Valuations (ABV) by the AICPA, and a Fellow of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA), the highest honor bestowed by that society. He has served on the Board of Governors of the ASA and is a past chairman of the ASA’s Business Valuation Committee. Mike is also a past president of the ASA Houston Chapter and served on the planning committees of the 2005 and 2008 ASA/AICPA National Business Valuation Conferences. He is currently serving as the President of the Houston Business and Estate Planning Council. Mike earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from the University of Texas at Austin.
