Richard Jones

Richard Jones, CPA, has 45 years of assurance and audit experience. As the partner in charge of Weaver’s audit practice from 1982 to 2009, Richard contributed to a time of significant growth and strategic change. He has extensive experience in litigation support services involving accounting and auditing matters and in serving as the audit engagement partner for manufacturers, investment companies, insurers, high-tech industries, financial institutions, colleges, health care entities, not-for-profit organizations and other private and publicly held businesses.

Richard has participated in technical committees with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and has been an active member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. As a former member of the AICPA Auditing Standards Board and the Accounting and Review Services committees, he contributed to the publication of many statements on auditing standards and statements on standards for compilation and review services. He graduated with bachelor’s degrees in science and accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington.
