Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) and Fuel Production Modeling Services
To participate in federal and state lower carbon fuels programs, companies must undertake a formal life cycle analysis to assess the overall greenhouse gas impacts associated with their process or products. This information is also needed to qualify for certain tax credits made available as part of the Inflation Reduction Act.
These regulations require companies to determine fuel carbon intensity based on variations of the Greenhouse Gases, Regulated Emissions, and Energy Use in Transportation (“GREET”) model. We work with businesses to prepare modeling, including the development of energy and emissions factors for inputs (such as proprietary catalysts) that may not be adequately covered in the existing GREET model. We review modeling and other pathway application materials and coordinate your company’s submission to the applicable regulatory agency.
